Matex Co., Ltd. and Sumitomo Heavy Industries, Ltd. have jointly developed the "HECY Series" reduction gear using lightweight, high-strength resin materials. Utilizing the design technology for precision control reduction gears for industrial robots held by Sumitomo Heavy Industries and the production technology for reduction gears through resin molding possessed by Matex, we have achieved not only weight reduction but also high precision by using lightweight, high-strength resin materials, specifically super engineering plastics, for the main components. The parts made of resin are produced using injection molding machines, allowing the "HECY Series" reduction gear to be manufactured at a low cost.
